Now
What I’m doing this month, and where the time goes. It changes; the date above says when I last wrote it.
BUILDING
Lead AI Developer at Alltech, building AI on Microsoft’s Power Platform and Dynamics 365.
A game set in a Tibetan town, made in Godot, with every building generated in code in Blender. Walk the town as it stands.
My textbooks turned into lessons, with my teacher’s class notes and my progress, on my Mac and my phone.
Rebuilt this month: the projects, the photographs, and my old Java games running in the browser again. See the work.
The plain-text system I run my life through: Markdown files in git, synced between my own machines.
LEARNING
A new teacher since late September, about four lessons a week, working back through the A2 book.
PRACTISING
八段锦 Bāduànjǐn, the Eight Pieces of Brocade, every day.
Back at 小洪拳 Xiǎo Hóngquán, one of Shaolin’s foundation forms.
Chen style: the first form, 一路 Yī Lù, “the First Road”.
Bamboo, on the Saturday mornings that go the way they should, before the laptop opens. Why I still grind ink.
READING
Murasaki Shikibu, from the early eleventh century. Still going, slowly.
WRITING
On AI at work, plain text and practice, published on Face Dragons. Everything I’ve written.
