Dino Island Duo
A LAN multiplayer dinosaur game with controls built for phones.
A small multiplayer game for a local network. One computer runs a Node server; up to three players join from phones or browsers on the same Wi-Fi, pick a dinosaur each and roam a shared low-poly island together.
Movement is server-authoritative at about 30 ticks a second over WebSockets, so every player sees the same world. Each species has its own speed and two abilities, and the island is generated from a fixed seed, with wildlife roaming on set loops.
The controls are built for phones first: a tuned joystick with a dead zone and response curve, drag to look, and two ability buttons.
